Job Description
This high profile position reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for the direct management of the finance department, including staff and processes. Your key task is to provide financial control, technical accounting, tax and systems work in order to meet all statutory requirements. You will be responsible for managing internal control to mitigate and identify any areas of risk. As a mentor and manager of a quality high performing professional team, you will be required to take both high level strategic views and be hands-on when required. The integration of two smaller subsidiaries will be a key deliverable in the first 6 months of this role, thus prior experience with a merger would be valuable.
The Successful Applicant
CA/CPA qualified, you will have a mandate to provide high level control and to implement process improvements and manage change, ideally your financial accounting or audit related experience will have been gained within commerce or the profession. You will drive and lead the direction of the team, and as a highly visible manager within the business you will communicate at all levels and champion the role of the department to key stakeholders.
